Managed to complete week 7 on Wednesday, it almost killed me doing that last run. I'd gone a different route and unfortunately crossed over with my old route at a point that made me feel like I was nearly done (it was only half way through the new route but used to be near the end of the previous one) so I think that deflated me a little. Still, I pushed on and survived! Got to do week 8 run 1 this evening and whilst I've got no idea where the energy for that extra three minutes of running is going to come from, I've got to keep at it!
My only concern is that my legs seem to be getting quite big, I've always had fairly muscular legs due to a youth spent horse riding, but since running they seem to be getting chunkier and chunkier! Whilst I know it's not a massive issue because it's not like they're getting fatter, I'm starting to look a bit weird in my skinny jeans! Is this a common thing? I was wondering if it was down to my technique because it's always the back of my calves that tend to ache and are the only thing slowing me down usually. Anyone else have this issue?
