Good evening. My cold finally disappeared woo hooooo!!! Funny that I was struggling to breathe through my 9 mile walk on Saturday but by the end of it my congestion had gone. Amazing what all that walking in the rain does for you. So I gave my legs a days rest and tonight decided to jump straight in to week 8 run 1 instead of going back a step. I told myself that if I didn't try I'd never know but I could always stop after 20 mins. I chose an extended route but still with the steep incline for the first 1.2km. I then got a stitch around 8 mins into running but I adjusted my breathing and ran through it. Mentally I felt strong.
Then I looked at my watch and it was on 21 mins (warm up 5mins included) and I realised I'd not heard the half time bell. It clicked that about 5 mins into the run, just after MJ spoke, my earphones lost connection to my phone. I'd pulled the phone out whilst still running to get the music back so as not to hear my breathing. I'd accidentally paused Michael!!! ๐ but thankfully I knew that the 28mins were up when my watch said 33:30 (30s intro). About 2 mins to go I had to alter my route as I didn't want to hit the busy mini roundabout so close to the end. Timed it perfectly with the adjustment and as I got to the roundabout I'd actually ran just over the 28 mins. My legs instantly went to jelly but thankfully I was able to cross quickly and keep them moving for the cool down to home. 39 mins, 5.14km and 43.27m gain. So so happy with that considering I completed week 7 2 weeks yesterday!!!!
I've also had to deal with the baby being sick every 2 hours or so since Thursday. I was very grateful for the peace as usual. It felt great. And, the best bit is that as it was getting darker, I finally tested out my new neon yellow running top with reflective stripe on the back and thin fleece lining. I bought this 2 weeks ago!!!! ๐

These kids eh?! My eldest has swimming at 10:15 and have to ask my mum to have the youngest whilst my husband takes eldest swimming to make it work. Too much for him to take both as Flynny just wants to jump in the pool.
Exactly. If I'm working from home and both kids are where they should be then I'm great. Can go at lunch. But over summer if I'm at home I've had Erica. And then Friday and today I've had Flynny. Hopefully this Friday will be back to normal. I didn't enjoy the dark finish very much but twice a week on a normal week will need to be in the evening so I best get used to it.
I wait for my husband to get home at 7 then leave him to do bed time while I get ready and go. But this is why I love this, if I'd joined a gym there is no way I'd get as much calorie burn in as there just would be time!
