Treadmill running so far has been as boring as watching paint dry= no, even worse.
But today, I did week 1 with Laura, but running 6.6 speed for 60 seconds and running 8.8 speed for 90 seconds x 8 and I did the final intervals 7.7, 8.8 and finished on 9.9 for the final 90 seconds.
It certainly got the blood pumping and the sweat pouring (not very ladylike!)
But I enjoyed it and felt a sense of achievement for the first time after running on a machine rather than outside.
I got the idea of using week 1 for intervals from a graduate on here: it's great that we can still help each other after graduation and keep up the motivation with the exchange of different ideas, so thank you!

That sounds fab. I can't wait to give intervals another go but that's for next week. My next run will be a gently 30 min jog tomorrow!
I'm loving this forum and the support we get / give each other (one of the things that keeps me going).
See that you are a volunteer...do you know if there is any way in giving feedback on the site....would be useful to be able see who had last posted and on which blog / question...?? I think that this may have been raised before
Im close to finishing the podcasts and am starting to think about what to do next, and interval training sounds quite good, might have to give it a try Well done for today
I did week 1 as interval training on Monday but did fast running (for me!)/walking instead of fast run/jog and to be honest it wasn't enough of a workout (get me haha!) so on next Monday's interval training I'll do it again but fast run/jog and see what happens.
Well done TJ
Sound like a tremendous amount of hard work the results you're going to get will be amazing though.
Well done you.
They'll need to create a "super graduate" badge for you
