I have only just started but I want to thank you for your support. Hearing stories that are similar to mine, overweight, never really ran before, does really help keep you going.
Its a bit wet out so will try the gym again tonight.

I notice you do fast walking at the gym, I also used to do 30 mins fast walking on a treadmill, a couple of times I tried to run for 60 secs and thought it was terrible!! So I just carried on walking.
Fast forward 4 years and I suddenly decided I'd like to run. I've just completed the programme and now I can run for 30 minutes at one time, both on a treadmill and outside. I wished I'd started running years ago, but at least I'm doing it now, and I can't believe that a short while ago I couldn't run for 1 min now I'm aiming for a 5K.
