Back on it! Just completed week 4 run 2

Right I may have disappeared from online for the past couple of weeks (no internet at home only in the office) but I have been trying to keep up to date with my running. I completed week 4 run 2 yesterday with only a 2 second pause in the second 5 minute run which was a LOT better than week 4 run 1.

I have been running outside all the time recently and can definitely say it is more fun, although more challenging running outside. I struggle to set routes which will finish at the right sort of distance and often end up walking for 10 minutes back home or walking round the block again until I get to the end of the podcast although hopefully this will get better over time.

I use the endomondo app to track my runs but unfortunately the park I run round does not have the best gps signal so it often misses large parts of my run. I have therefore gone online and logged my own runs manually on map my walk and it says I am covering approx 4.4 km during the podcast which I am very chuffed about!

Anyway should get back to the work.

Great job. I just did W4R2 today. We are in the same place. Would you like to be an online running buddy? I could use someone at the same place in the podcasts. I have a 5k scheduled for 6/3/12. I have never run before this.

Yeah online running buddy sounds good to me –let me know how it works. I am about to do W5R1 tonight –eeeekkk!

I have not yet scheduled a 5k run but am hoping to do the local race for life over the summer.

How are you doing? I did W5R2 today..... with the 5 minute warm up, and the 5 minutes between and a 8 minute cool down my time was 15 minutes per mile. I covered 2.27 miles. My goal is a 10 minute mile so I figure not a bad start. Im starting to feel like a runner.
