Week 4 Run x

Week 4 Run x - where x is the variable, 'did not realise I had only downloaded half of the w4r1 podcast until after the first 5 minute run'. Then the music for the walking section suddenly stopped. We then tried to estimate a 3 minute run, which turned into a 5 minute run since we had started the podcast from the start again, then did some walking and finished with a 3 minute run and then cool down. Simples!

Both my wife and I managed to complete our hastily improvised version of the w4r1 workout and although we did the final two runs in the wrong order, we were feeling brilliant by the end. Not recommended. So, I'm loading all of the podcasts onto a little Zen player while I get rid of some redundant files on my iPod touch. I now now what the little blue semi-circle means next to podcast - there is only half podcast there. Not the first time I have found myself frustrated by an Apple product.

Well done for getting out there! I remember having a similar problem when I hadn't charged the ipod, 2 minutes in it died, no music on my phone, then remembered I could get the radio... 25 minute run done I freezing rain to various songs/ads/news bulletin! But it was another one done!

Keep that brilliant feeling in mind & you'll soon be graduates! :-)

Thanks, Poppy. I can't imagine there have been no other technical mishaps in the C25K programme.

I should have mentioned that the brilliant BBC weather app is responsible for us getting out running today. Rain was forecast here from 1.00 pm and we had planned to run later in the afternoon. So, we switched our plans and did that run in the morning under an overcast sky. It has now started raining here, bang on cue.

Improvisation of the first order! Congratulations. I couldn't agree more about the BBC weather app. Absolutely priceless for avoiding the rain.

Keep running, keep smiling.

Thanks for this. Weather windows are important.

Ha, poor things! Sounds like you manged, though. I've got a little Zen player that my children presented me with a few years ago as they wouldn't let me have an ipod (Geeks!). I have to say that it's been really good and now I think I understand why they insisted on Zen!
