All sort of reasons for not running today - Mentally somewhere else after a weekend away, tired and a bit sore after a fairly extreme gym class on Thursday, it was cold, it was wet, I had new trainers, blah blah blah. I should have been out on Friday or yesterday and I felt that I really needed to run.
We got home from our weekend away, and did the Tesco shop and then my other chores, finally got out of the house at 6.30, well wrapped up!!
Laura's encouraging voice mixed with the endomondo laptimes:
5 minutes down, sore calves from the gym complaining,
10 minutes down, everything starting to ease..
1 mile in 10:32 - slower than last week..
15 minutes, time to turn round - AAAAAAAAAArgh, running into a hurricane!!!
20 minutes - threat of a stitch because I've suddenly forgotten how to breath
21.02 - 2 miles down - still slower than last week...
25 minutes - can see the end in sight..
30 minutes.. Dammit - still not quite at the end - keep going
30.54 - 3 miles - ok, have restored the pace a bit..
31.53 - route finished...
walk, collapse, wander into the house after stretching with ear to ear grin on my face.
I think I could happily never see that particular route again, but there are three options when I leave the house, and the other two involve the main road.
