A fail and a win W4R1

Well, so, yesterday, excuses, excuses, excuses. And not one of them valid. I got up really early, well before daylight and made the mistake of not falling into my running gear as I got out of bed. So then it was cold, I needed to do this, I had a delivery coming, I had to pop up to town - maybe you get the picture. I even convinced myself that I would run in the afternoon. But I didn't. The shame.

So this morning I just got out and did it. A light frost on the rooftops and a bitter wind to run into on the way back but altogether a beautiful morning - ship count 5. And a total of 16 minutes running - including a speed up in the last half minute. Success at last.

We all have those days when 'anything but running' can be fitted in. Sometimes maybe it's your body's way of telling you you need a day off. You definitely made up for it today, the runs wait until you're ready to do them :)

you ran and some days the excuses are just telling you it’s not the day. It’s the toughest time of year to be starting the programme again. And sometimes even being in a gorgeous landscape isn’t enough…

It’s not that I need all the planets aligned - but for sure if I keep my setting up organised then I am. Even something like not having my socks near my trainers is enough for me to go down the rabbit hole of faffage…

Sheps you did it - well done you
