On Tuesday I tried and failed to complete W4R1 (see my previous post)
Had some more lovely encouragement and support from you guys, and I’m pleased to say that I have just successfully finished my W4R1
It wasn’t easy, but I kept going. And by the end of the last 5 min run, something amazing happened. Sarah told me I could stop running but my legs kept going. I ended up running for 6 minutes! I probably could have kept going a little longer but I was scared what might happen!
I have never got to the end of a running section and actually wanted to keep going, so I’m really pleased to see this progress, I feel like I’ve made a huge stride today.
Thank you again to everyone who has given my kind words and advice. You guys are the best 😊

That's great, very well done. 😃 MissW & Dave have given good advice above- keep the next one lovely and slow and stick to the timings.
C25K has been designed not only to gradually get you running, but also to avoid injury as much as possible. Our lungs/ cardio, adapt ahead of our muscles, tendons and joints. That means we can feel fine and want to run for longer but our tendons & muscles might not be ready for that and we put ourselves at risk of injury. All runners hate the injury couch! 😄
Great to hear you've regained confidence and most importantly enjoyed the run! As everyone said, don't overdo it and just keep on running slow and steady to build up stamina (remind yourself of your initial goal: you don't want to get injured beforehand).
Brilliant - we all knew you were going to smash it and you did. Congrats.
