I knew today was to be a run day - I have to fit it in between early work start days. But lying in bed pre-dawn there was no way I was getting up. No siree. I was warm, relaxed, sleepy and staying there. "I can do it tomorrow" I thought to myself, knowing that the knock on of rest days and work would put everything out of sync.
But, as I tumbled out of bed, I found myself pulling on my running clothes and setting the app.
And I am soooo glad that I did because it is a beautiful morning, a glorious day, and I will have been blessed with the best of it. That sort of skybluepink of an early dawn and the birds thinking it's already spring.
The second challenge was actually getting through the runs - but, slow and steady did it and I succeeded in completing it.

Really well done for doing it! I went after 10 hour shift last night and I found it really hard. Tired legs and a very dark velodrome! Not doing run 3 (week2) until Friday on my day off, so i have a few rest days! Does feel really good to have done it especially after really not wanting to. Hoping I will be ready for week 3, not feeling confident right now!
We very rarely, if ever, regret a run. And how gorgeous does that morning sound? The few times I get up really early I always say I should do it more often. It really is a different world 😍
Slow and steady is the way, and a very big , well done to you for getting out there. I am afraid the thick fog yesterday, did deter me. ice and snow gone but I did actually run later.
Those early starts are the best start to a day... and as the days slowly lengthen, we do get to see a wonderful untouched world, as you clearly , experienced.
