Weather delay again means it is 5 days since R2 and I had work today so set the alarm earlier and was out at 7am to run before dawn. Light enough to see and be seen (I always wear hi-vis yellow for early runs).
So, 20 minutes? Smashed it. Not what one could call easy but no problems and I finished it comfortably. So proud of myself.
And thanks to the driver who reversed ! Yes, reversed ! back into a passing space so I didn't have to stop. I did a deep namaste to her. What an angel!
A lovely thing I have found out is that my sister-in-law not only knows of Steve Cram (so many people don't!) but actually knows him and used to work for him. (Not so surprising given her field of work). So I can pass on my gratitude to him for his encouragement whispered in my ears.
The other good thing (so many) is that my cholesterol is down so no need for statins and, though I haven't lost weight, my body feels in much better shape. I write all this not to brag but to offer encouragement to other WoaCA who could just give up and sit on the couch. It is doable and You Can Do It.
Happy running (or bouncy shuffling) everyone.
