Well I nearly skipped today's run, got up early enough before work but just couldn't motivate myself out of the door. Ate at me all day at work knowing that I likely couldn't run tomorrow as works a bit further away in the morning.
Jumped on here and read a few posts and made the decision to do something I never do, afternoon running! I'm an early bird but thought I'd try it.
Got home from work, sorted the garden a little bit then put my gear on and headed out.
Did I enjoy it? NO! Was it hard? YES! Did I finish it and am I glad I did it? YES and YES!
Im still definitely a morning person, I found it harder that usual, probably all in my head 😂
But week 4 run 2 is in the books, one left this week, probably Saturday morning bright and early.
Happy running!

I think there must be a halfway point slump - I found week 4 run 2 the hardest one to push myself out the door and get done. Well done for getting it done! 👏 Unlike you, I’m an evening runner and just psyching myself up to head out for week 4 run 3 once the baby’s in bed 🏃♀️
Well done for getting out there. I’m with you on afternoon running it’s definitely not for me. Must feel good though that at least it’s now in the bag!
Thank you! I have a weird relationship with sleep, I spent ¾ of my life with real issues, couldnt sleep most of the time, falling asleep was a massive issue! Overactive brain, Intrusive thoughts etc.
These days I'm out like a light most of the time 😂😂😂
I don't need much sleep I can survive on 4-5 hours but am finding I'm getting 6-7 quite regularly but weirdly often feel more tired when I do 🤷🏼♂️
To your point though, I agree you certainly sleep well on exercise days👍🏻
