Well knock me down with a feather, I've only done a full 28 minutes!I'll admit to trying to trick my head, did the first 3 minutes, called it a warm up and then told myself I'd only got the normal 25 minute run to do.
Feeling unbearably smug and pleased with myself, not sure if my legs will agree with that assessment in the morning, but Tuesday is a rest day.
The funny thing is I felt like I could have done the extra 2 to get up to 30 at the end, so w9 is currently holding no fears!
Not bad for a fat unfit 50 something bloke.

This is brilliant! It’s amazing the mental gymnastics we often go through to get through the runs that scare us a bit! Learning to master the mental side of running is just as important (if not more!) than physically completing them. You did a super job. Congratulations!
Bravo you! I am full of envy and looking forward to week 8 and getting super pleased with myself - that is entirely appropriate. Onwards and upwards. Or maybe that should be onwards and onwards.
