Week 3 done, and thank goodness for my new waterproof jacket! Definitely needed it this week!
I have to confess, I procrastinate for ages before every run, only to feel really annoyed with myself 2 minutes after I get out of the door and remember how much I am enjoying this!
However, I did a naughty thing this morning and looked at next week's runs and had a panic! It's not the 5 minutes that worries me (3 minutes seemed impossible a couple of weeks ago!), but the fact that it will be 16 minutes of running in total when the last 2 weeks has only been 9. Has anyone else worried about this jump up?

With you on this one! I've just had a week away with work and came back to read what week 4 involved....I chickened out and just did another week 3 repetition!! I'm guessing it will be all about getting the pace right. Whens your next run due? I'm going to force myself to start week 4 on Monday.
Just remember how brutal 60 seconds used to feel! I thought my legs would fall off and my lungs were going to explode. I just breezed an easy 3 minutes so it's all possible. I'm sure we'll both smash week 4
Well I am surprised. The first run was a step up but I completed it. Then I was not looking forward to the second run w4 but it was surprisingly ok. W4r3 in the morning!! How about you? Did you find it ok
This programme is so clever! Last week a 3 minute run was torture, this week it's the 'easy' part! I'm still running at an absolute snail's pace, but I cannot believe the difference since week 1. A 20 minute run in a week's time still seems a bit daunting mind...
Surprisingly ok ... starting to feel like a proper runner when I reach the end of the 5 Min Run . Again find the first one tough but the second much easier . Got my WK4 R3 in the morning too .. it's going to be a warm one .
I too am surprised how clever this programme is. I couldn't run a bath when I started and whilst I am losing weight on the SW plan this has certainly made me feel so much better. Early morning runs are definately the way to go for me. Feel energised all day then. Here's to tomorrow's run!!!
Was so hot this morning .... had the tail end of a migraine but decided to run anyway . Stopped half way in to the first 5 min run , just couldn't do it ... the heat was too much . Had a walk for a min & then ran the the . Bit disappointed but I know I can do it as have done it previously . Not going to let it disappoint me too much . Glad you got through your run & managed in the heat .... let's see what next week brings : )
I used to be the same, procrastination was my norm. I've even been known to look ahead and see what I had to do next then been unable to sleep through worrying about it. I still do it a bit, so when I can I now get straight into running gear and get my run in before breakfast. My personal Gremlins have mostly gone off to find an easier target these days. It's wonderful that you're enjoying this - much to my utter amazement I have found that I enjoy it as well. Sounds like you are hooked ... you are linked in to your running gear!
I too have just finished w3r3. And yes three weeks ago couldn't run a bath!! So surprised that can for 3 mins twice. Wk4 does look scary but I have to believe in this program. We can do this lol
Slow, steady, trust the programme and have faith in yourself!!!
My Nan used to say to me... " Is worry going to affect the outcome, or make any difference? No....? Then don't waste any time or energy doing it". I think through her lifetime, she had seen it all and heard it all and experienced so much of life... she was 98 when she died
I try to think of that, whenever I am about to freak out over something
I'll be starting Week 4 this week. For me it's the idea of 5 mins in one go that scares me. But then 3 mins at a time was double what we had to do last week. Come on - we can do this.
I just finished the first run of week 4! It was challenging, but not more so than the previous runs. As I started to run I realised I'd left my Fitbit at home... then my earphones ran out of juice... so I just continued with Laura speaking out of my phone. I'm amazed I did it actually... if I can then you can too.... trust the programme and relax!
I delayed until today like the wimp that I am and it was completely and utterly fine and actually enjoyable! I'd talked myself out of it for 2 days, and had decided I'd never manage it but this programme knows more than I do!
