Just finished couch to half hour, hurrah! (I say that because I'm so far from 5k! But that's ok!)

Congratulations, RunforMum ! That is so awesome! I hope you're celebrating 🥳

And many of us don't run a 5K in 30 minutes...

Well done! 👍 fabulous achievement. Hope I can get there too. Wk 5 day 2 tomorrow so I’m worrying about 8 minutes but look at you! You deserve to be very proud x

Congratulations!

I am quite keen on a rename to 'Couch to 30' - C2-30 - See-2-Three-Oh

It is okay, because, as you know so well, there is no expectation at all to get to 5K!

Because... in case anyone read this and doesn't realise... "...Couch to 5k is a running plan designed to get complete beginners from being a couch potato to running 5k (or 30 minutes) in nine weeks. "

So many folk never reach the 5K in nine weeks and so many never reach 5K in 30 minutes, ever:) We have had polls on here and the percentage of folks reaching that 5K is small.

The important thing is you are running, your are running your way and your pace and enjoying it and that is blooming brilliant!

HUGE well done to you... thanks for this:) x

Yay! Another Couchto30 here. The closest I ever got to 5k in 30 minutes was a 37 minute 5k a LONG time ago now. I'm hoping to get started again in 2024, but still fighting various set backs.

WELL DONE YOU - I'M STANDING AT THE FINISH LINE WAVING A FLAG 🏁🏁

Brilliant well done!! 👏🏼 you are absolutely right not to bother about 5K hardly anyone completes C25K doing 5K. I think the first time I did a 5K it took me about 45 mins! I’ve shaved a bit of time off that over the years but I’ll never do 30 min 5K and I’m ok with that 😊

Enjoy your running - on to consolidation now and bask in your achievement 👍🏼

For me it's become Couch-to-5k-in-37-minutes.

Thank you, yes, I'm going to slowly add a few minutes at a time and see if I can get there!

Yes, that's the way. For me, having a tracking watch was the biggest help. I added half-a-k as I felt strong enough. And then, occasionally, going beyond 5K (which really shocked me).

Well done!!! I graduated three weeks ago and I'm still not at 5K, but last week was close at 40 minutes...
