Another bit of jeffing today 🤣🤣🤣

I managed to complete W5R2 this morning that’s 8 minute run then 5 minute walk then8 minute run. I’m so pleased with that. I could feel twinges in my ankle but not toooo painful so carried on. I think I’ll do this a couple more times before I try that 20 minutes at the end of Week 5 cos I don’t want to damage my Achilles again 🤣🤣🤣. Happy running everyone and heal quickly if you’re on the IC.

Wise decision Scruff55 on rerunning run 2 of week 5 before that 20 minute run of run 3, well done on completing runs 1 and 2 of week 5, onwards and upwards ✔️👍

Well done! Yes, absolutely, take it at your own pace. I was very nervous about that 20 minute run, but managed it. You'll be surprised.

But do tend to your Achilles!!

Yes I’m being mindful of my Achilles so slow is my default ATM

Time to do a bit of strength and flex in between the run days too to support your running! Don’t run with pain!!

Well done. So wise to repeat runs and take extra rest days when necessary. The runs will wait but injuries can set you back weeks. Listen to your body & attend to twinges earlier rather than later.

Fab   Scruff55 . It’s great to see things ticking along for you! Has your physio previously given you clear guidance about what level of pain for how long and at what point in your runs is ok? I found that so helpful in being confident that any twinginess is fine to keep going through and o wasn’t amping things up again. I know you’ve had loads of input so you’ve probably already got this in your head!

Good luck with your next run!

Yes MU my physio was quite clear on how to judge which pain was ok and which was not so I am fairly confident about that but I still want to take it slowly so that I don’t do any more damage to my Achilles. So snail jeffing is my thing ATM. 🤣🤣🤣

Snail jeffing sounds perfect! Those twinges are so nerve wracking aren’t they!! I kept telling myself “the physio says 3/10 is ok!!! It’s ok!!! My knee won’t fall off!!” Hopefully yours will settle soon 🤞
