So pleased with myself as I completed my 20 minute run today in the pouring rain, I'd just done the 5 minute warm up when it started but I continued in the pouring rain, that's not me as I hate getting wet, this running is doing funny things to me π€£ got home like a drowned rat

Thanks muchly and yes it did keep me cool, it would have been harder if very hot....it was a big step as everyone finds out to suddenly go from 2X8 minutes to 20 but the inspiration on the forum keeps you pushing π
I just started week 5..3 x 5 mins was ok...the 2 x 8 seems doable but the 20 min seems another level. The leader of my group thinks I'll be fine...run due Tuesday so time will tell. It seems a large hurdle at the moment. Well done you for getting it done.
Honestly you will be fine doing it, when jogging think of it as 5 minute chunks as that helped spur me on, you've trained for this and you can do it.....wishing you good luck for Tuesday & let us all know how you got on ππ
Thank you, will do indeed. Am marshalling a marathon event tomorrow and will take inspiration from those running a far greater distance and time than me...even they started slowly once upon a time. Have a good running week.
