🍏Evening Algonissin. We are primarily a running group. Are you using Couch to 5K? We can’t give medical advice here only encourage people to strengthen & support their bodies to get through their runs without injury. With your health background I suggest you see a physiotherapist for some expert advice.

S&F subforum and its link posted here is the place where I can ask such questions?

There are exercises on that forum, which may help, but as Annieapple says, we are unable to give you any medical advice.

Hi , I've stopped running temporarily due to knee and leg pain. I found a great guy on YouTube, Will Harlow. He does exercises for over 50s. I don't know how old you are, but they are gentle exercises and he explains about various conditions. Might be worth a look

That sounds a bad experience for you but good news to have regained your mobility.

Are you in the UK? Have you had physio after your medical issue? Were you given any on going leg exercises to do afterwards?

I presume you are able to walk -could you look up exercises for walkers and devise yourself a very gentle but incremental programme. If you think about a child learning to walk it starts with standing, balance, getting up and down from the floor stability and then steps. You might want to try some squats and lunges to get those muscles stronger in a similar way.

I hope you can find the necessary advice from a professional physiotherapist or trainer as it would be best to work with someone who knows the correct way to rebuild your leg muscles and back & core to avoid any strains/injuries.

Not what you're looking for?
