lighter mornings are coming

A non work day for me so when there was a sniff of a decent sunrise I decided to go back to preferred early morning run slot and get out there. After the too many layers situation earlier in the week I decided on just the long sleeve top.

Ebony came bounding down the stairs as soon as she heard me get my shoes out. Decided on a podcast to accompany us today for a change.

We had a nice relaxed pace going and I have realised that my easy pace is faster than it used to be.

We did our old favourite 5K route past the marina, lovely sunrise and a setting full moon.

Well-being cup filled and feel good for having got out there. Nanny duty beckons later.

Have a good day everyone

The moon set was gorgeous in the glow- you’ll have to zoom to see it

Last night I was absolutely gutted, as when we were driving back from grandson duty there was an absolute money shot of the (almost) full moon rising right above the Spinnaker tower which was lit pink. It would have been a fabulous picture if only I’d had my posh camera with me … photography is very much a case of right place right time and a smattering of luck. I’m not technically au fait with how everything works on my camera but I know a good shot when I see it. I think perhaps I might have to ask for some photography lessons for my birthday this year x

I can't do early mornings and never have been able to.My optimum time for exercise, was always mid afternoon/evenings.

It's got worse now I'm getting older with a bad hip. I don't warm up or begin to feel human until about 10:00 ish when the, anti inflammatory's and pain killers have kicked in.

But I admire people who can !

Well done and keep going, it's good seeing the early sun and later evenings !

I think we all have our preferences for optimum running times. I’m an early bird and always have been. When I was doing the programme it always threw me if I had to run at a different time but now if I have to I can run in the afternoon. I can totally appreciate where you are coming from with regards to needing to feel well oiled before you get going! You are still getting out there and that’s the main thing 👏🏼

But for me, I’m at my best when the sun is rising and it’s that beautiful golden hour of light.

And anyway what what the neighbours do without my dulcet ( ahem) singing to wake them up?! 😂
