Early mornings are dark 🌌

Early mornings are dark 🌌

WK7R2 has been done ✅ and I absolutely loved it.

Alarm clock went off at 6:10am and I didnt shout obscenities at it this morning but instead jumped out for bed, donned my running gear, grabbed my earphones, drank a glass of water, laced my trainers and off I went 🏃🏻‍♀️

I have found my ideal running time, starting between 6:15 and 6:30, when all I have is myself and my thoughts, the sunrise, Mother Nature, birdsong, the occasional dog walker and other runners. Not sure how much longer this will last as the mornings are darker now then when I started this journey. As you can see from the photo the street lights are still on!!!

At the start of this program, I was very reluctant to believe that it would be able to get me running for 25 mins but somehow with perseverance, sweat, tears and sheer bloody mindedness I have been able to get to WK7R2 so to all the newbies, the middlers and the 'I'll never be able to run' peeps, you bloody well can and you will!!

I have loved my journey up to this point and I now know that running will always be a part of my life. Wherever life takes me and whatever curve ball life throws at me, I have and will always have my running and my virtual running family and that brings me great joy 🤗

I ❤️ running 🏃🏻‍♀️ and running ❤️'s me 😘

Amazing well done.... you're almost there! What an achievement!

I too was wondering about the early mornings being dark.... although I run between 7-7.30am. I wonder how light it'll be when clocks change and winter months arrive?

To paraphrase Monty Python's Four Yorkshiremen sketch - 'Streetlights? You were lucky......!' They switch 'em off at midnight where I live and they're still off at 5:15am when, before I bought a head torch, I bounced off the hedges and tripped over the curbs!

Great work, get that bloody mindedness chip ready, your love affair is about to go stratospheric! ;0)

Go you...it was dark this morning... I stuck to the lanes.. as I had to do a speedy run before small one was dropped off at 7.15!

Very well done...hope you are enjoying the longer runs ? x

I'm absolutely loving them. They give me time to myself which is very precious as I work in a school and have very little 'me' time during the day!!

Might have to invest in a head torch and reflective running gear for the darker mornings/nights!!
