Keeping Going part ?

Raining out there again. Seems like at 76 I have really become a fair weather runner. It seems to have sneaked up on me or perhaps my Mojo is Sunning itself in the Caribbean. Been keeping myself going by doing running on the spot and some weights. This morning I did a Youtube vertual 5k in the London Marathon by running on the spot, the rest to be completed as and when the weather dictates.

The Garmin doesn't know how to deal with running on the spot but gives me encouragement by recording 5 to 6min Kilometers, something I could never achieve in the real world.

Have an Excellent Day.

The important thing at our age is to keep moving. My physio said so and she is always right!!It is blowing hard and raining up here. I took the dog for a walk this morning; the rain doesn’t put me off, but the wind is just too strong for safety. It will pass!

Yes the weather will pass. My youngest daughter is a nurse and she tells me "don't get onto the downward spiral, keep moving" But the upside is I enjoy running so not a problem. I may slow down when I am old 😁

At least you are keeping moving, it was blowing a gale when I was out this morning, but dry, only rained after I got back, Garmin doesn't know what to do with a lot of things, but take it 😁 it'll help your mojo come home

Great work, it's difficult to keep going sometimes but your determination is outstanding, keep the indoor workouts going they really help.👍👍

I've not yet become a fair weather runner at 72 but am shortening my runs for a bit. Doing maybe 20 mins not 30. When I feel like it I will up the time again. I haven't tried running on the spot. Isn't it hard on the knees?

No I run on the spot in a pair of very cushioned trainers. I would hazard a guess that it less impact than road running. This morning was 30 mins of the London Marathon because it was hacking down outside. If and when the weather cooperates I will move up to 10k again in stages. I think mixing up the runs, long, short, fast, slow is the way to go.

London Marathon sounds like a good idea. I could try that sometime. Thanks for the idea.
