Week 5 3rd run!

Slowest-snail-ever profile image

Thank you all of you in this group for your encouragement and support. I have hopefully put covid behind me and managed the infamous 5.3 run for 20 minutes. I dont think I could have run any slower but so what. On to week 6!!

🍏👏Well done and exactly right!! Snail pace gets the job done and builds up your strength and stamina. So pleased you have put Covid behind you now! Onwards and upwards towards your goal! 🤗😆

Famous, not infamous.. it is a great run and now.. on you go to Week 6. Intervals return, as this is all part of the consolidation of what you are doing so far...

Don't let it put you off as it can some folk... Simply! Enjoy them!

So glad you did it, I’m about to embark on week 5 and am very nervous about the 20 minute one especially as it’s difficult where I live to find flat places to run. Runs so far have been on short flat areas repeating the circuit many times. Did you identify a place for this longer run?

Hi I'm sure you'll be fine. I've run in the forest nearby and it's got some up and downs but nothing too severe. I do a circuit I found twice full stop but I have found that it's getting increasingly muddy and slippy recently. Good luck!
