week6 R3 amazing

after really struggling this week I was apprehensive about the 25 min run so decided to go and see how I felt. No pressure.

I did a longer warm up walk then Some stretches and off I went. I really got into the groove and around 10 mins into the run just all clicked and wow it was fabulous I finished the 25mins feeling I could go on for longer (I didn’t)

I really feel now I can do this. I am back it seems :) can’t stop smiling 😊

Of course you can do it Kksstt, you can complete C25K, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 6, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, onwards and upwards to week 7 which are all 3 /25 minute runs, not long now until you graduate with run 3 of week 9, keep smiling while you run. 🏃🏾 👍

thank you. I really don’t think I would have gotten this far without this group. Thank you all

Isn’t it great when everything clicks? I’m sure someone will be able to tell you the science but I firmly believe that after 10 mins you find your rhythm and then it’s just a pleasure. Also there is something about the mentality of not putting yourself under pressure.

You ARE a runner! That finish line is almost within touching distance- go you!

It takes about 10 mins of exercise for the body to get properly warmed up - at which point it's working far more efficiently than it did at the very start. The 'Toxic 10' is what we call that first 10 mins.

Ah yes the toxic 10! I knew it was a thing but I couldn’t remember what it was called ( I blame my age !)

I definitely notice the difference. I think it will do longer warms ups that really helped.

Brilliant stuff, well done you! I'm on the 25 min runs at the moment and it feels really good to get them done and think, yep I AM a runner now. 😁

Brilliant! That feeling of thinking you could have on longer/further than 25 mins shows that you're going at exactly the right pace.

You've discovered the secret sauce, the cheat code to C25K

Onto the home straight of Weeks 7, 8 and 9 now....

Crack on and enjoy!

in reply toJohn_W

Thank you. I average 11 mins a Km but being 30kg overweight I am not pushing it. Slow and steady 👍 I’m in no rush. It’s all about enjoying it

Plus I am short. It’s feels the right pace for ME right now. 👍
