Completed week 7 this morning but found today's run harder than the second run.
Did my usual stretching before, did the warm up walk and covered the same distance so my pace must've been very similar. Set off at 6am so not too hot.
At the end of run 2 when my coach said "only 1 minute left, increase your speed if you feel up to it" I did and felt great.
Today though when I got the same encouragement I had nothing left and was glad when it was over.
Anybody else ever feel the same ?

Well done for completing a run that felt more daunting somehow. Today you have picked up on an important lesson …no run is ever the same even under the same conditions… however you have gained a valuable lesson and that is to mentally overcome when physically you would rather stop and walk!! This week is a big step up and you are meeting the challenges. You are well prepared now for these last few weeks.. make sure you stay well hydrated on all days especially when it’s hot. Hope Run 3 is extra special….but take it as it comes.. 😊
Well done on graduating, the world is now your oyster, i was elated after my W9 R3 so i did enjoy it because it was graduation time, i now enjoy my runs more now i ha e the freedom to do shorter and longer runs, i stiil get the odd gremlin in my head telling me "im too tired, i cant do rhis, ill just do 1 mile and go home" but i get through it and carry on as i have got to where i am by challenging myself and pushing through and then feeling glad and elated that i did, i must say that this hot weather is making it tough for me and alot of people, i am doing ahorter runs up to 4 KM as is too hot, bit a run is a run as at least we are getting out of the door and maki g the effort 😁
