Recent graduates, how are you getting on with consolidation?
I finished C25k on Friday last week, and did my first consolidation run yesterday. I used the app so I still had Yasmin Evans talking me through it. It went well but I still found the end bit quite hard. Guess it will be a while before a 30 minute run is super easy!

Hi Fidh79, i graduated 6 weeks ago and did a few 3 times a week x 30 mins runs, then changed to 3 x runs doing 20 minutes, 30 minutes and 5K, i was told to do a few weeks of 30 minutes runs to get used to it then mix the runs up a bit and it works for me, i now work on Distance rather than minutes.😀
It’s all about feeling it out and listen to your body. During consolidation I mainly ran 30 minutes but did mix it up with a few shorter runs dotted about. Did my first 5k last week but not going to be beating myself up to run 5k every time. Nike Running Club app (NRC) is really good. They have around 250 guided runs that are all kinds of times and distances. Would recommend you relax now and just enjoy being a regular runner, regardless of time or distance. Best of luck on your continuing journey!
