So into the second week of my consolidation runs, I’ve kept up running 3 times a week... for the first week I just ran for the 30 mins and then left it like that, this week I’ve pushed myself to run the full 5km... I’m still not at 5km in 30 mins... so far the best I can manage is around 38 mins... but you know what I am a hell of a lot further than before so I’m pleased!
Let’s hope eventually il get to the 5km in 30 mins! 😊

Well done, and thanks for sharing because this is giving me hope. I’m struggling with week 8 but I’ve also accepted that with my little legs and rather curvy body there’s no way I’ll be running 5K in 30 mins. I reckon it’ll take me around the 40 minute mark when I eventually get that far.
Thanks for the post. I just did my 3rd consolidation run. I did a 5k in a similar time just to see if I can do it!! but have now gone back to the 30 min runs. Still feels tough though!! Hoping will improve the more I do!
Well done on maintaining. I am I believe one of the lucky ones in that I have run up to a minute in numerous agility competitions with my dog over the last 9 years so probably had an advantage over many on the C25K but even so I still struggled at the beginning when the running times became longer the further I got through. However near the end of the nine weeks I covered a 5k at least once. I have now been running for 16 months and have seen my 5k times improve by up to 10 minutes now with the last one being at 25.48 mins. So keep at it. My times seem to have fits and bursts where I start to improve, then remain consistent then improve again. Stick with it it will come. Stay healthy keep running 🏃♂️
