Consolidation Runs

Well I have run nearly every other day from w1r1 until yesterday which should have been my 3rd consolidation run.

For some reason I was slower the first c run and slower still on the second one and the next morning the muscles in the front of my left leg were really sore the next day.

I haven’t run today as I don’t feel like it. Has anyone else felt like this 😢

Of course! Life gets in the way, we get tired, if our bodies are fighting infection or viruses they're a bit sluggish. For those of us of the female persuasion there's hormones to deal with too!

Just have an extra rest day and then go again 👍🏻😉

Like you say , you've ran nearly every other day. Just take an extra days rest then get back out. 😊😊

You’ve done brilliantly. Have a rest. If you don’t want to stop then have a recovery week by reducing your mileage substantially.

Yes! My second consolation run was my worst ever. My legs felt like they belonged to someone much bigger and heavier than me and I was puffing like I’d climbed a mountain. I wonder if we just need a bit of a rest. Like you, I ran almost every other day through C25K.

I’ve done two runs since which were both much better. I went out not thinking ‘I must run for 30 minutes’. Instead I just thought I’d see how it went and where my legs took me. I ran for the fun of it and felt no pressure. My two fastest runs without thinking about it. Don’t beat yourself up. You know you can do it.

Have a good weekend. 😊😘
