Consolidation Runs complete

I have finished my 6 consolidation runs and have now decided I would like to up my speed a little .

My plan is not to run every other day but to run Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. I am going to alternate between 20 minute runs and 30 minute runs. The 20 min runs I will try and up my speed and the 30 min runs I will just go as normal.

I hope this works, this morning was my first run for 20 mins and I did increase my pace 😁

Have a lovely day all 😘

Just done my first consolidation run and hadnt even thought about doing less minutes to increase speed.. Ill definitely use that idea.. I did 33 mins today as i felt good.. Ive always prefer Saturday, tuesday, thursday runs - i had to change one week due to holidays and it completely threw me... Have a great weekend

Well done you, it’s a great feeling when you graduate but I do feel it’s a little harder to go out now I don’t have a goal!

This is why I have decided to do 20 and 30 mins alternately. I am no where near 5k it took me 40mins to do 5.16k so I’m hoping this will work 😁😁

You have a fab weekend too x

Similar to our plan, one shorter run one longer run and one something different like hills each week

Hi! Great ideas!

Q. Does hill running make a different to your pace.

It strengthens your legs so i guess eventually, it’s longer runs that speed you up in the end but for me it’s time and i’m happy not to worry about pace

Hi!

As of tomorrow I’m changing my runs to - Sunday - Tuesday - Thursday.

I have no reason for it - I just fancied introducing a weekend into my running routine 🏃🏽‍♀️ How funny that sounded in my head ‘My running routine’ 😂

That's sounds great by mixing your runs up a bit. Why not try and add in some new routes also. Well done you 😊
