first run yesterday , I did walk the 7 th run as I started to panic breath . A runner came past and really praised me and walked with me till it was time to run the 8 th and last . He pulled me through then just carried on with a wave .
I was not expecting this , but really gave me incentive to go again tomorrow. I m 61 with health problems in lungs .

Congratulations on starting! How lovely that that runner turned up at just the right time to keep you going. ❤️❤️
Now you’ve got that first run under your belt, you’re in a great position to keep going. There’s a brilliant little guide to the programme here with lots of helpful hints and tips. Well worth a read. Most important is keeping it slow and steady at a pace where you can talk in full sentences without gasping. That’s probably a lot slower than you’re expecting. Most of us go too fast! Recovery days between runs are absolutely essential too. Enjoy your well earned rest.
Well done you! We all start somewhere, and it's difficult for all of us at the beginning. How kind of that lovely runner to help you along. That's what we can all do for each other on this forum it seems to me! We are all behind you. Keep going, you'll get there!!
