usually I run with my Jack Russell (who isn't really a fan, but I'm killing two birds with one stone) - but today I plucked up enough courage to run with my local mums running group. I've put it off for weeks as I didn't want to hold them back, but today was the day!
5k in 31 minutes😳
Nearly died but made it round, met some lovely people and smashed my pb by a mighty 7 minutes - the power of chatting, distraction and not wanting to be the slow bod! The fast ones looped around the slow ones (aka me), so all happy.
I am one super happy mumof3!

What you must have meant to say is that you just had your first run with People not afflicted by Jack Russell Disease, a canine psychiatric condition that affects certain hairy small people.
Jack Russell Disease is what makes Jack Russells kill Rottweillers all the time (by getting stuck in their throats). It's also what caused them to always be at the vets being treated for puff adder bites, or to have the spitting cobra venom washed from their eyes. Just be glad you don't have puff adders and spitting cobras near you.
It must be a huge improvement running with those Other People! No more Incidents (of attempts to kill Rottweilers by getting stuck in their throats, or to bring down buses as prey, etc). Nice to hear you enjoyed it. You can probably stop taking the blood pressure meds now.
I know what you mean. You should see me when I pass another runner going the opposite direction. Supposed to be walking? Uh uh! Not until I'm past them. 😉 It's great that you made such a good time! Congratulations!
Blimey!! That was a quick one. Well done! Forget the Jack Russell, I'd stick with the running mums from now on if I was you, they're greased lightning.
