So that’s halfway and the regime is beginning to make sense - aching knees have stopped aching, the pace has established itself (and it’s slow!), the breathing routine is getting better and each run is hard but somehow achievable (note to self to reassess after the next run …!).
This week I found myself running for a train - last one for ages due to the strikes - and not only making it but finding myself not gasping for breath. A month ago? That would have been a very different story - I’d probably have let the train go and missed another evening with the family.
If I have one gripe it’s that the weight isn’t shifting as fast as I’d like. Perhaps that comes as my body metabolism gets used to the new regime and I know my diet could do with some attention.
But small steps. Literally 😀.
Here’s a doodle of me hacking round the Wharf … thought it might either amuse or help others who might still be feeling the odd self-conscious twinge.

well done your doing amazing. Don’t be disheartened with the lack of weight loss . I’ve been following the weight watchers plan for the last 4 weeks whilst doing couch to 5k and I lost 1.5lb in the last month , 3 weeks of maintaining my weight and one 1.5lb loss.
Usually I would have a temper tantrum and give up but luckily I was doing joe wicks a few months ago and have got in to the habbit of taking pictures and body measurements once a month and although the scales have hardly budged I have lost 1-2 inches all over!
I know people discourage weight loss classes etc as it all boils down to being in a calorie deficit but I personally do better when I’m sticking with a plan.
If you haven’t already , look in to weight watchers , slimming world my fitness pal and joe wicks and there might be a plan you would benefit from following.
The book “the body fat solution “ by Tom venuto is a fantastic book too. I highly recommend it.
On you go and just carry on doing what you are doing... ! Take a peek at one of our sister sites, there are I do know a fair few folk on here, who are on there also. This plan linked with the heathy eating regime of your choice, are a great combination.
I think you may find a lot of helpful support on that forum too...here is the link which I have just given to Donna2023 ... I think I feel a C25K team getting together You can support each other and see who else teams up on here, as you head towards the Graduation programme?
W5 R3 seals the deal. (You'll see). Unfortunately running alone is not going to shift much weight, but it does make you're question the fuel you putting in?
Well done! I had to stop and go back a bit after feeling poorly but I'm ready to repeat some or all of week 4 again now and look forward to what you describe here because I'm not there yet!
