Half way through and faltering...

Well, finished run 2, week 5 today. Can't believe I'm halfway there! Today was the first day I've really had to make myself go out. Don't know if it's a mental self sabotage thing or whether the fact that it was pitch black outside put me off (am a complete wuss about being out in the dark after living in London for years and being mugged on my way home one evening)

Really had to force myself out the door. Once running I began to enjoy it and was quite frustrated with the 5 minute walk, felt like too long for me but nevertheless I finished feeling quite happy. The problem is I had to change my route as it was much too dark to go down my normal streets. This was very frustrating as I had to run back the way I came. Will have to sit down this evening and work out a new route that keeps me on the main drags where there are plenty of lights and cars. On the upside, warmer today.

Run three on Friday, the dreaded 20 minute run, gulp... Can't give up now!

It's a good idea to change your route to keep things interesting, you are so near now so keep it going.

Sending positive thoughts :-)

What time did you get up? I was up at 4.30 and already well on the way to being light. Points for getting up when it's dark! Keep going I'm at same point as you. Faltered during week 4 which took me nearly two weeks to do due to 12 hour shifts and not being at home! However back on it now and loving it.

Oh, I'm in Nz, so we're in the middle of autumn. I run at 6.25 so not that early, just dark! Thanks for the encouragement. I feel like I need it at the moment. :)
