I had a gait analysis at the nearby Runners Need as I have been experiencing a bit of knee pain in one specific area of my knee for the last few weeks.
A pair of trainers, two pairs of socks, two pairs of winter leggings, hat and a waterproof jacket later - I am suitably kitted up for the winter weather!
Even on the first outing with the new trainers, I can feel the difference. Definitely worth the visit.
The trainers are Saucony Omni.

It’s just such a conundrum what to put on at the moment. Wore the waterproof jacket and base layer and was really warm for my run today. Experimentation at the moment, I think.
Its the eternal dilemma! I also started in a long sleeved top and thin jacket. Tied the jacket round my waist ten minutes in. Layers are good in this sort of weather so you can lose the top one. I had a big debate with myself over whether to leave my hat and gloves in the car and was glad I did, even though it was pretty chilly on the warm up walk. I knew I’d be ending right near the car or I’d have taken them and zipped them in my jacket pockets. It’s horrible being cold on a cool down walk.
It’s definitely worth it when you are spending a bit on trainers plus they are protecting your feet and legs, so it’s worth having a pair that do the job properly.
Ooh nice! 😍 I'm planning to start the c25k in the new year. . Hopefully I'll get to the point of having gait analysis done and needing proper running shoes 🤞
