I have a tendancy to over pronate and am looking into trainers for when I need a new pair. I've seen the Mizuno Wave Inspire 15's and they sound good but I am totally unfamiliar with the brand. Does anyone know anything about these shoes? Are they good/supportive? Do they fit well, do they generally fit narrow/wide etc?
How many pairs of running trainers do people have anyway? Just one, or is more than one pair justifiable lol?
Thanks in Advance

Mizuno is a well respected running shoe manufacturer, but just because they work for someone else does not mean they will be appropriate for you, so a recommendation is to be taken with a pinch of salt.
Thanks for the reply. I understand that, I was just hoping to find out if anyone who had them had been happy, especially in terms of things like quality etc. I appreciate that shoes are individual for each person but as I'd not heard of this brand before I was hoping to learn something about them before committing.
Hi. I have Mizuno Wave Inspire 13s, bought last summer when I first started out on C25k and they are still going strong.
I went for gait analysis at my local specialist running shop and was given the choice of several trainers, including Saucony. I chose blind (didn't ask the price) as I wanted to make sure I chose for fit not price. I over-pronate and have found them really comfortable and supportive. I also have wide feet and find them very comfortable. The assistant instore recommended I went for a size up from my normal shoe size, which I was surprised by, but she was right and this does allow your feet to expland comfortably as you run.
I have since added orthotic insoles to them, as I had an issue with shin splints earlier in the year when I stepped up my distance, and I have run injury free since. I can recommend Mizuno, but as IannodaTrffe says, one size doesn't fit all, so I would suggest gait analysis and trying out a range of trainers on the treadmill instore before finally settling on the pair for you.
Thank you. That's really helpful. I have wide feet too so knowing that you do too and are ok with the fit helps. As does the going up a size as sometimes I am between a 6 and a 6.5 but sometimes find a 7 too big.
I have had two gait analysis done and on both was told that I overpronate (but not badly). The first shoes I got were great (they were asics but can't remember which ones). The second time they suggested shoes with insoles (asics gel contend 4), I ran on a treadmill with them and they felt ok at the time but since I have been running on roads with them properly I have never been happy with them.
I get funny aches on the outsides of my ankles whenever I walk fast or run (it goes away when I stop running or walking), which is why I had a gait analysis done the first time. The first lot of shoes solved the issue, this second set has seen the ache come back and not go away. The place I have had the gait analysis done has since closed down and I don't know anywhere else near me that does them
Lots of running shops do gait analysis, although not all will be set up with a treadmill. The best thing to do is to Google gait analysis near me and the search should show places within a reasonable distance. It is always worth getting another opinion and do take your current running shoes as they will look at the wear on the soles and tell them about your injury aches and pains. It should all help in them being able to point you in the right direction.
Also check out specific runners insoles for trainers. You can actually get insoles for particular injuries (mine were for shin splints and I haven't suffered since). I got mine online.
I run in Mizuno Wave inspire 15. Make sure you try them on as they come up pretty small so a size up is probably best. So far no problems. I love them. Hoping to run my first 10k with them 🏃♀️ I’m on my second pair since completing C25K as didn’t go to a running shop. Try and get a gait analysis if possible.
