I went to Decathlon today with a friend who also runs. I REALLY needed new trainers as I had no road shoes, and no trail shoes suitable for hard packed trail.
*scuffs toe*
I came away with 2 pairs. Both off the Sale racks.
A pair of Kalenji (so Decathlon’s own brand) trail shoes for £19.99 - they won’t stay that pink for long!
And a pair of men’s ASIC Gel Surveyor 5 for £49.99
The drop on each of them is 10mm, which is higher than I generally like, but if I end up wearing the Kalenji for dog walking and the ASIC’s for walking round town? That will be fine by me.
I also bought running tights to replace the pair of mine that have a hole in the knee. I wasn’t going to bother, but that style is apparently now discontinued, and I don’t know what they’re going to be replaced with.

Can't wait to get a new pair of running shoes one day.... but I have to go to Lisbon (3 hours from me) to get gait analysis before I do the big buy! Meanwhile my friend just gave me a pair of hardly used Nikes which will certainly help in the interim.
