I posted a couple of days ago about my difficulty doing week 2 outside from the treadmil.
Thought I'd post again, because Ive completed an outside week 2 (yippee) and learned some things that might help others.
The big one was my idea of a brisk walk too fast. (yes the walk) I was striding out at close to others jogging speed. Which in turn ment I had nothing to transition into for the jog. Slowed down I could breath all the way round and even had a little left at the end. My heart rate still went into cardio zone but didnt jump out my chest like last time
My second tip is head up not down at your feet, strangly looking at the distance removed the barrier in my brain for the slight inclines.
Hope this helps others going to repeat another week 2 outside Sunday to consolidate before moving on.

This is a great update-well done. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with your heart rate being in cardio when you’re running. Is that something you’re concerned about? Apologies if I’ve misread your post.
It’s excellent when you make a breakthrough in your running like that. Good luck for your next one.
