Start of week 2

Well I completed my first run of week two last might and was surprised at the end to include some more running in my cool down walk and a little sprint at the end. I notice I’m really tense and rubbish at the beginning of the run but as I relax into it my technique and speed are better. I wasn’t as worn out when i got back either. A good result for me. I just need to keep it up

Well done Lizzie09, yes, do keep this up! It looks like you're already getting the hang of this, and are on top of things at the moment if you can include more running & some sprinting into your final run. That should bode well for you when you move on to next week. Despite all of that, please do be careful and don't do too much too soon, it would be shame to put yourself out so early due to injury. the mantra to slow down, and then slow down some more should be printed as a background to this forum, it's repeated time & time again. Although C25K involves running, it's not a race, the aim is to be able (eventually) run for 30 minutes non-stop. Good luck with your progress, and please keep telling us how you get on. You will get loads of good advice and support on this forum...

Feels good doesn't it when you notice things like your recovery time starting to improve.

Great going!

Go you! Your experience is very common. I always think I'll never complete my runs for the first 10 minutes, but then I relax into it and start to enjoy.
