Run 1
Runs were great, stayed slow n steady, focused on good posture, relaxed shoulders, and breathing. Felt I could have run for longer than the 90 seconds but was also pleased when Laura said to stop. At one point, I shuffled past a group of locals doing their morning tai chi moves, facing the sea. Good feng shui, perhaps? They were moving faster than I was. It was like a slow motion scene from a film with all of us moving at snail's pace lol.
Overall, felt great and the walk/shuffles got rid of a lot of stiffness I was feeling in my thighs and hips.
Run 2
Headache, and all over body aches, but went out anyway. Once again found the runs good, puffed but had plenty of legs left at the end of each. So nice to be greeted by other folk in the park as we pass by - a bit unusual in this city.
It's a 1km walk to the park, including 271 stairs (!!) up and down, which is a great warm up, and then cool down on the way back. Not looking ahead to future runs, just staying in the moment and loving it. I'm at where I'm at.
Run 3
It was a Herculean achievement to get out there this morning. I was prowling the apartment from 2am - 5am in a whole world of pain from frozen shoulder (this happens most nights, but last night was particularly bad). But getting out there and shuffling/walking is the only time I am not in pain at the moment, so that's a major incentive, even if I feel like a tired zombie. The runs were all good and I really enjoyed being out there. Can already feel how much stronger I'm getting, even after two short weeks. I'm chuffed to finish up week 2 and am super eager for Thursday to start week 3.
