Nice steady pace. Last couple of minutes were a bit tough, but plodded on. Chuffed to have got that first non-stop run under my belt. Now on for week 6....

Congratulations on completing your longest C25K workout to date.
Stay nice and slow for W6R1.............it catches out more people than any other run in the programme.
Keep running, keep smiling.
I’m slightly worried for this run. It’s just a big jump from 8mins! Any tips as I have one run left before this. Well done on completing this run too ☺️
It looks like a big jump but you’re ready for it. The programme is well paced and clever people who know what they’re doing put it together. You can trust that they knew what they were doing. You’ve done all the runs leading up to it. You can do it!
The main thing i would say is to really focus on keeping it slow and steady (like all the other runs!). I find having music really helpful for distraction so you could pick something you enjoy but won’t make you tempted to run too fast.
Really good luck. 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️
Massive congratulations! Hope you did some big celebrating at the end of that run! 🎉
It’s easy to feel invincible after that run and go off too fast at the start of week 6, so watch out for that (bitter experience!). You’re doing brilliantly. Before you know it you’ll be done! Enjoy the rest of the program. 🏃♀️
Hey Nick, im glad youve mentioned this because im wk4 run2, I did feel my legs get a bit tired after a few mins, ( excusing the fact id finished a 6mile walk an hour beforehand). Im finding as long as you stay at a comfortable pace, you can just continue running and getting the breathing rhytym thats right for you. im doing mine on the tred mill at 6.5km per hour, thats my comfy running pace.
Sounds like you’re doing really well! Just beware of thinking of your comfortable running pace as a specific speed. You’re much better going on your effort. You’ll most likely find that as your runs get longer, you’ll have to slow down to keep your breathing at the place where you can speak in full sentences. As you run more, you’ll probably have days where what normally feels easy is harder and you can adapt how fast you’re going to feel comfortable, or maybe you’re full of beans as can go faster without gasping. Adapting to how you feel is a really important skill to learn. It all comes with experience. Really good luck for your next run!
