Week 5 run 3

SO I’m due to do week 5 run 3 (the dreaded one) tomorrow... the only thing is I last did a run on Tuesday which means it will have been 5 days between runs. I only left it so long as my usual run day fell on my birthday! Will I be okay tomorrow?? Or should I redo run 2 again? I’m panicking 😂

I normally have a 1 or 2 day break between runs but I had a 3 day break before than one and it didn't do me any harm, in fact I think it maybe helped me as my body felt rested and ready for it. Good luck!

I’d say if u completed runs up to now go for it! If u don’t get Run 3, that’s the one to repeat! I did Run 2 this morning after night shift. My legs felt like lead and the wind was knocking the breath out of me! I did it though! Run 3 schedules for Monday!

You don't lose discernible condition in the first two weeks of non running, so you will be well rested.

If W5 is freaking you out, sit down, relax and read this healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

You can do this.

I did run 3 today, take it slow and pace yourself. You’ll be surprised, it was no harder than any other run!

Slow and steady. You’ll be fine. You may even find you come back stronger ! Relax and enjoy x

Thanks everyone! I do it on a treadmill and usually do it on levels 9-10 should I go down to 8?

Hope you had a great birthday. Tomorrow you’ll have fresher legs as you get to that startline... to be honest, that can only help. Relax before you go out... run nice and slowly... amaze yourself... have a wonderful run.
