Using the micro habit of putting my gym gear out the night before is usually a good motivation technique. I creep out of bed, so as not to disturb my husband, grab the outfit and go straight to the bathroom. After all, once you are dressed in your gym gear, you might as well do some excersise even if it is just a few stretches.
However, yesterday evening, I had forgotten to put out my gym bra. Hmmm.
Now my alter ego, Enid, insisted we really shouldn't run without one. Creeping back to get one would disrupt my husband's sleep again and would not be popular. Enid thought we should just sit this one out!
But being fairly flat chested, and only doing a week 2 run, I did it anyway. Not recommended for anything more that a 90 second run and it will certainly remind me to check each evening.
Enid sat on the treadmill being awkward and tutted continually. She will probably give me grief about sagging boobs but hey ho...week 2 run 3 accomplished!

Congratulations on completing your run! I canβt imagine running without a sports bra. It would have been a walk for me.
Iβve occasionally forgotten to take underwear when Iβve been swimming wearing my costume under my clothes. Thatβs made for a nervous drive home crossing fingers I donβt break down or need to stop for anything!
Your response made me giggle...I am not sure my speed was that much faster than a fast walk to be honest. I just really wanted to do the scheduled run...shouldn't have really. π€π€£
Iβm just envious itβs even an option to run in a regular bra! Itβs heavy duty, strap βem down, cost-a-fortune monsters here. I keep looking at pretty little crop top sets and realising theyβre just not made for me. π
It sounds like youβre really enjoying the programme since youβre so keen to do the runs. Keep hold of that enthusiasm!
Well done! I too put all my clobber out the night before, during the week anyway, and thankfully my sports bra has always made the clobber pile! I would have to run with my arms crossed if I forgot it. Best of luck with the next hopefully bra wearing run! Is that picture by you? Itβs very good. πππ
Yes, I won't forget it tomorrow. Double checked already. The doodle is of my ego, Enid. The whispering voice that appears in my head..."sit down and have another biscuit". I am sure you know the one. ππ
Ha ha... we had an awesome runner on here; mfamilias I haven't seen her for quite a while She lived in France... this is her. Enid' his name was Gary.I created him for her
The voice of Enid came back big and strong as soon I thought of re doing the programme. My half hearted jogs in recent months hadn't been the same. The "support" and strength of this community is what was missing. So thank you. I really appreciate it.πββοΈ
When I first started Couch 2 5k I didnβt have a proper sports bra, looking back I donβt know how I managedβ¦ but I was slow! Well done for completing your run. Wonderful illustration π
Exactly...you are spot on. A very slow jiggle. But the right gear very does make a difference. You feel more confident too.Thank you for your kindness. Really appreciated.
Thank you so much, CBDB. Yes, I am really grateful. My husband put higher legs on the sofa so it can fold down and go underneath. So it is brilliant to use in the mornings.Thank you for your support.
Well that really did bring a smile to my face. Thank you. I also prepare the night before and sneak out at the crack of door, firstly not to disturb my husband and secondly, I'm out there on my own, all villagers are luckily still snuggled up in bed, so no gossip about me in the village shop yet. π€£
Not sure if I am envious or grateful,π€but I haven't even contemplated a sports bra. My every day type fine for me as nothing there .
Happy running Nilsam. Oh, and I live the picture you posted.
Thank you so much, Birra1. Good to know I am not alone sneaking around. πββοΈπOnly the foxes and local cats to laugh when I trip up...which is why I am on the treadmill next to the sofa.ππ€£
Thatβs funny. Reminds me of the time when I used to do laps at the local pool. I forgot my knickers, what I had done was grabbed a pair of my husbands by mistake creeping out early one morning. Not quite sure how I managed that, was rather funny in retrospect, and slightly depressing given they didnβt fit!
π€£ Love it...great image of the changing room. πππ I blame the fact I have got to a certain age. The brain can get a bit forgetful at times. π
I must say, once I got home after W1R1, a sports bra was ordered. I think the same was true of the rest of our running group.
I did the wearing a swimming costume under my clothes and forgetting my underwear ONCE when I was younger. It was in the summer, I had worn a short pleated skirt and tight white tee shirt. I walked out of the pool and all the way home clutching my bag to my chest with both arms praying there wasn't a strong gust of wind. It felt like a 100 miles to my house. I have never forgotten since, often putting them on over my costume just to be sure. That is something I never want to repeat.
