I've been running 30 minutes 2 or 3 times a week for almost 2 yrs now. Since Christmas I had a twinge in my mid back, in April it 'went' completely. I've been seeing a chiropractor and am back running now, but we don't seem to be getting to thr root of the problem although after running it does seem aggravated. Can anyone help on whether I need to continue with a chiropractor or should be seeing a Physio or Osteopath?
I dont want to give up running and I'm convinced it's related.
TIA!

A sports physio would be my first choice. Unfortunately most NHS physics are unlikely to lay their hands on you and your condition may require manipulation.
Have you ever done regular core strength exercises? A strong core is essential for all runners.
Pop over to the Strength and Flex forum and ask for some advice over there for suitable exercises, but best to run them past your practitioner.
Hi, I'll try that forum, thanks. I used to do yoga a few times a week but haven't in a while, tried it this week and again, seems to have aggravated the situation!
I had an injury after week 8 run 1 of the program which was just as we came out of first lockdown .It was difficult to get an appointment to see anyone
I tried a sports physio but they were not doing appointments at that time but I managed to get an Osteopath appointment.
This was helpful but as you said yourself, I felt it was not getting to the root of the problem, I think I saw her 3 times .
I then got in with a sports physio who happens to be an extreme marathon runner !
This was the best thing I could have done .
He kept me running and gave me a series of excercises which I really felt dealt with the problem of a weak core .
So I would agree with the advice of IannodaTruffe
My Physio would definitely be my first port of call now .
Have a look on sportsshoes. There is a wet foot test and also you can send in a vid for analysis foc. They will try to upsell a bit but nothing dramatic. If you think it is the motion that is aggravating your back they may be able to suggest better cushioning. Also have a look at James Dunne there are some good vids on there about stride issues. Don't forget yoga, it can be a revelation
I would suggest first consulting a doctor who could well send you to have an MRI of the spinal region concerned. The problem may not be at all caused by running, although it might be aggravated by running. I am surprised that your chiropractor has not already suggested this to you to obtain an MRI via a doctor's consultation. A physiotherapist may also recommend that first of all you obtain an MRI scan.
