Week 7 Run 2: fewer but stronger runs

Just a little delayed in reporting about yesterday's run. Due to heavy working weeks, I’ve managed to fit in only one run per week, although I’ve managed at least four or five indoor rows on top of that.

But running is a bit more difficult at times because I generally run in the mornings and indoor-row right after work.

But the longer recovery might not be bad, as each of those few runs has felt awesome. My niggling knees feel great. No pain but in my back, and in general, I feel strong in my runs. I even started integrating the last week of James Dunne running drills into the running sections, although the Zombies version of my C25k app keeps me busy skipping about!

So, my 50 min Run was made up of:

* 10min fast walk

* 5 min freeform run

* 3 x ( 1 min running + 15 secs skipping)

* 5 min freeform run

* 2x (2 min stretching + 5 min running)

The weather yesterday was brilliant.

And I am looking forward already to starting last week soon! Zombies C25k version has only eight weeks, and it looks like by week 8 run 3 I might be running for 45 min after a 5min warmup walk.

Happy Running, everyone!

That’s good news. It’s good your enjoying your runs. A lot of running on Saturday run.I agree it’s hard to fit in whilst your working that’s why my walk is early morning 4 km or less, don’t have time later . Your long rests are probably helping, I hardly have a rest day but just walking , but even then probably need to as well. You’ve come a Long way with all your ailments , you might find your Nordic walking helps your speed . Well done 👏
