I'm basically glory seeking as I write this but I am really proud of myself as I am NOT a runner. I do not have the physique for running having big boobs and being overweight and not great fitness.
I started the C25k app in May. I've had weeks where I've only managed to run once. I had times where I didn't run for a month. But my sticking point has always been week 4. After a really rubbish run Tues (I only run on a Tues and once at the weekend) today I managed the 3min run, the 5 min run and then only 2.5mins run but finally the 5min run. I have made it easier on myself and give myself longer walk between the 3 and the 5minute run and this has been making the 5min run more achievable. But I have only ever managed one of the 5min runs. Today was great to manage both as it seems to be a big hurdle for me to have to get past.
Just to add I also felt a bit nauseous at the end so I had clearly pushed myself out of my comfort zone finally.
Fingers x my run on Tuesday means I complete all of the runs. Wish me luck.

Well you’re turning on to a runner I would suggest Mrsflax! Are you staying well hydrated - that might be why you’re feeling a bit nauseous? And take it really slowly, I found I could always go a bit slower- even when I felt I was actually going backwards!! And for those of us with any sort of frontage, a decent sorts bra is absolutely essential! Well done on finally cracking that 5 minutes- onwards and onwards you go! Good luck!
Brilliant! What determination you have shown to still be pushing on! So impressive. Best of luck with the next run. It doesn't matter how long it takes. It only matters that you are doing it!
Yay! What an achievement, well done! You're definitely meant to be a runner with that much determination 👍
One thing I would say is, if you're finding that you're feeling sick it sounds like you're pushing yourself *too* much. I say this as someone who used to vomit during or after every run! The advice on here was the slow RIGHT down even though I didn't think I could go any slower! Seriously, it was a complete game changer... I'm still not fast, but I can run for an hour easily and cover a fair distance in that time so it doesn't mean you don't get fit. It's just your body can handle it a bit easier!
Well done you! I finished w3r3 today so week four for me from Wednesday and I have to say I’m really nervous but your post has inspired me! Well done for getting there! Xx
