Week 6 Run 3 done

week 6 took nearly two weeks to do due to work, bank holidays, our boiler springing a leak and having to be replaced. But I got there, felt good at the start, bit of a dip in the middle but finished feeling fine.

Congratulations to you Bluestreek on completing run 3 of week 6, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, onwards and upwards to week 7 which are all 3 /25 minute runs. 🏃🏾 👍

Hi AlMorr, thanks for your support. I’m not that far behind you, having just turned 69. Never been a runner, couldn’t even run the 440 yd oval at school!! I’ve always cycled and walked so I think that’s helped. I’m really proud of myself for getting this far. Cheers

At Primary School I was a pretty good runner, I remember winning a few races, however, strangely enough I didn't really like running and just carried on with cycling, didn't do any running at all at Secondary School except one day when the temperature was around - 4C the PT teacher told us boys to strip down to the waist, only wear your shorts and run round the 400 metre athletec track just outside the school, he said "the quicker you get round that track, the quicker you get back inside the warm school", I think I was first back, but apart from that run I didn't run at any races at Secondary School.

Well done! Life can throw a few spanner in the works, but it cannot stop us achieving our goals! The middle bit of any run is quite notorious for runners losing their focus a little… not saying that’s what happened here, but quite a few of us have a dip there!

You got this now… enjoy week 7

Great job getting out there when life is throwing all sorts at you. Sounds like a great run. Onwards to week 7. I’ve just finished it and really enjoyed it
