WEEK 6 RUN 3 DONE πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

β€’60 Replies

Was nervous before this run as found run 1 & 2 wk 6 tough. I ran just after 8pm tonight, it was nice and cool and I've been drinking plenty of water (thank you for the advice it paid off!). I found myself zoning out and before I knew it the run was nearly finished, I even managed to pick up the pace before the end!

Really looking forward to wk7 as apparently I'm now officially a runner!

Thank you very much for all your advice and encouragement. πŸƒπŸ‘

Well done πŸ‘

Indeed Cockneymick you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER by completing run 3 of week 6, great advice regarding drinking plenty of water, does help a lot, especially during warm weather.

Onwards and upwards to week 7 which are all 3 /25 minute runs, so happy that you are enjoying your running, not too long now until you graduate.

CockneymickGraduate in reply to AlMorr

Thank you! 3 25min runs, bizarrely I'm looking forward to them!

Well done you!...Just keep going!..I'm doing WK7 R1 tomorrow. Never been so active πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’ƒ

CockneymickGraduate in reply to Hidden

Thanks! I'm sure it will go well for you tomorrow. Stay active! πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ‘

Well done Runner Mick!!!!

That's a great milestone and you know you can do the next week because you've just done it - what you can do once you can do again!

CockneymickGraduate in reply to Thatwasunexpected

After all these years of inactivity being referred to as a runner is an achievement in itself! Thank you!

Same - last time I ran for anything but last orders was about 1993! :D

Congratulations πŸ˜€

Well done that’s brilliant- congratulations πŸ₯³ - I start week 6 tomorrow and I’m very apprehensive 😩

CockneymickGraduate in reply to Dreambird

Thank you very much, but honestly you have no need to be apprehensive, the program works, if you make through week 5 you'll smash week 6 πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ‘Œ

3SudGraduate in reply to Dreambird

Don't be, believe in yourself...you can do it πŸ‘Š

Brilliant you now a runner . It’s gets better from now on , so keep going . You are so close to shouting - YES - I’ve done it :) 🐾

Congratulations. You must be feeling so good?

I am two steps behind you, wk6r2 tomorrow morning. C25K does keep me going through this covid19 time.

CockneymickGraduate in reply to Deejay53

Hi thanks yes it felt great, without following the program I never would have got this far. Keep going, you'll smash wk6πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ‘

Well done , I have just finished at the same run ...week 7 here I come πŸƒβ€β™€οΈβ˜ΊοΈ

CockneymickGraduate in reply to Yoyo361

Thanks and well done you, see you on the other side of wk7 πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ‘

Well done, I’ve just completed too, I found it quite hard, not so much physically but feeling like I couldn’t get to the end??? I think I’ll move from my garden to a nearby field and put on some music from now on to see if that helps πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

CockneymickGraduate in reply to Suewill

Hi thanks! Music definitely helps me, you can currently get amazon music free for 3 months, create a play list of your favourite tunes, you'll find yourself running with a smile πŸ˜€

Furtado in reply to Suewill

Music definitely helps me Suewill . Have you tried the Podcast? On it the coaches say more or less the same words but you have the extra benefit of music, with tempo matched to the walking and the running parts.

Suewill in reply to Furtado

I’ll try that, thank you

Great jobπŸ‘πŸ‘ Thanks for sharing your progress. Feels great to get it done, I did mine yesterday morning - We're both runners now! Good luck for Wk 7. πŸ’ͺ😎πŸ’ͺ

CockneymickGraduate in reply to BlueT1D

Well done you! Let's smash week 7 together! πŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

CockneymickGraduate in reply to Lil5k

Yeah can't believe I got this far. Thank you very much, hope you're running is going wellπŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

That’s brilliant! I’ve just got back from this run too and am so happy!! I wouldn’t have got through week 6 without the support of this group as I really struggled with run 2 and reading comments on here encouraged me to repeat it, so am very grateful as it worked! Good luck for week 7 - we can definitely do it now 😊

CockneymickGraduate in reply to PippyBear

Superb well done youπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Well done! I'm in the same place on the plan and it does feel great.

CockneymickGraduate in reply to JeanneMary

Thanks and good for you! Keep goingπŸ‘πŸ‘

I completed Wk6 on Friday. Was so apprehensive about the 25 minutes but I did it and what an amazing feeling afterwards. I'm not running fast, just a slow gentle jog. Cannot believe how far I've come from being a complete novice at the beginning. WE ARE SMASHING THIS EVERYONE πŸ‘πŸ‘‹

CockneymickGraduate in reply to Running-scooter1

That's excellent good for you, how did week 7 run 1 go for you today? I'm also not running fast, most important thing is that every two days you're out there running, pace will come with time. Keep at it and we'll all continue to Smash it! πŸ˜€πŸ‘Œ

Just about to embark on Wk7 run1. Feeling apprehensive but determined. Will give an update later. Have you done yours yet?

CockneymickGraduate in reply to Running-scooter1

Im sure it went well, I'm doing my tonight when it's cooler, I'll give an update πŸƒπŸ‘

Well done, you! Starting W6 tomorrow - thanks for the inspiration :)

CockneymickGraduate in reply to AppleB

Good for you, the previous weeks definitely prepare you well for week 6, go for itπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ‘

CockneymickGraduate in reply to Hanzy

Hanzy in reply to Cockneymick

Good luck will do up at 6.00 am to go at 7.00, going through woods tomorrow instead of roadwork I did Friday

Brilliant! Your joy is shared with everyone! πŸ˜€πŸ‘Well done on smashing yet another week! 😁 Nothing’s gonna stop you now! 🀩πŸ’₯β˜€οΈ

The positivity on this site is mind blowing!! Thank you very muchπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Congrats on run, I am still a juffler don't consider myself a runner yet maybe by week 9 I might, good luck tomorrow

CockneymickGraduate in reply to Hanzy

If you're out running every 2 days you're a runner! You'll get better, keep at itπŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

This is a great thread of messages so thanks for kicking it off Cockneymick. I'm starting W7 tomorrow too, so it's lovely to know I can check in after to see how we are all managing. I find the forum great for advice and tips too. Good luck to us all! πŸ˜¬πŸ˜…

CockneymickGraduate in reply to Scotdee

Hi yes I normally 6 or 8 responses but this morning when turned on phone had over 30! All of which were positive messages. Looking forward to to wk7 tomorrow, hope it goes well for you and everyone else running tomorrow. Go for itπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸƒ

Awesome stuff! Way to go you! πŸ˜€πŸ‘

I did this run Friday and am amazed at how far I've got by following this plan.

Roll on week 7 - we can definitely do it. The end is almost in sight now !

CockneymickGraduate in reply to Birdlady64

That's fantastic well done πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘. We're well over half way to running 5k 3 times a week! Keep at itπŸƒπŸ‘

Brilliant! πŸ‘Š I'm on this run Tuesday

CockneymickGraduate in reply to 3Sud

You'll smash it, good luck, the previous weeks of your hardwork have paid off πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ‘

Hi, I’m at exactly the same stage and was so pleased to have a good run to round off week 6. Good luck going forward!

CockneymickGraduate in reply to Bonnybanks

Good for you, I was amazed that I didn't struggle and was able to pick up the pace towards the end. Keep at it and roll on week 7πŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

I did this run this morning, and if anyone had passed me with 5 minutes to go when I felt that I just couldn't do it and I pathetically shuffled my way up a hill, ( I know, a hill to finish, what an idiot) they would have wondered why I just didn't walk. But I pulled myself together for the final two minutes and did it. It was hard but it is done. Week 7 is now a little scary but surely I can only get better? See you at the end of week 7!

CockneymickGraduate in reply to Jkay50

That's fantastic, really tough going up hill, I changed my route because of a hill. You made it more difficult for yourself but still completed, you should be proud of yourself. Try and get a new route for week 7 and you'll smash it πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ‘

Well doneπŸ˜€
