I am so proud of myself, Today has shown how unfit I am but I took advice from everyone on here. Ran at my own pace, slowed down if i was getting out of breath, did my warm up and cool down and more importantly enjoyed it. Looking to see when I can do my 2nd run now πŸ˜€

You've just completed the hardest run out of the 27 runs, and whoop whoop you've only got 26 to go..... just brilliant, you'll be a changed lady by the end!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Keep that motivation in your sights as Nd you'll be fine, remember it's not a race, C25K is far more enjoyable at your pace (no-one elses!).

Lots of runners say I've completed the course but I'm no running 5k yet, it really doesn't matter, the course aims to get you running for a continual 30minutes, from there you can work on hitting that 5k if that's your ultimate goal!!

Something to keep you motivated, after you've cooled down and please definitely remember those stretches!

Thank you, my goal is just to run for 30 mins at the moment. 2nd run will be the hardest for me as I am doing it in my own but I have downloaded the app ( got Sarah Millican speaking to me ) and I’m just going to put some music together and I’ve looked at a safe place to run on my own

Wise wise wise!

From a ladies perspective (even a man's as well) plotting a route, running somewhere familiar, well lit and safe is definitely a far safer plan!

Stay safe

Congratulations on completing run 1 of week 1 of C25K and welcome to the forum, as Imc50 says you have completed the hardest run, take all the runs slowly, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 1

I have to do stretch exercises on my non run days is that correct?

By all means you can do other exercises including stretch exercises on non running days, the No. 1 rule is NOT to run on consecutive days

Well done you! The hardest bit is starting, so give yourself a huge pat on the back. Best of luck with the next one! 😊
