OMG, I did it, week 9 run 3, I graduated, yay, yay, yay!!!!!

It's been hard going over the last week due to the heat and not having time to fit the runs in, but I have finally done it, I've only gone and graduated! I didn't break any speed records and I don't know how far I ran, but it was still quite warm and managed the 30 mins without too much trouble and upped the pace for the last minute. Despite the lack of special graduation podcast I still got quite emotional at the end knowing that I've stuck to the programme and come so far in such a short time. Onwards and upwards now, I want to do my first park run and get to work on the couch to 5k+ sessions. I just hope I can get used to this new website as I feel like I've lost support of the community since it changed last week and that's definitely a big part of why I've managed to stick with this.

  • Congratulations - and for surviving the heat. it is very hard work.

  • Thanks Ancientrunner, definitely much harder in this very warm weather.

  • Well done! Yes what good idea!- A graduation podcast!

  • Thanks, I think it would be really good to have a special grad podcast for week 9 run 3, a bit like the one at the end of week 6 when you're told you are a runner.

  • Congratulations on your graduation :) I did mine on Saturday and it nearly killed me in this heat but feels so good to finally reach W9R3. I agree with you, it would have been really nice to have had a different podcast for the last run of week 9, a bit like how weeks 5 and 6 had different ones. Would have been nice to have finished on a unique podcast and run rather one that we'd done twice already. Still, it's a great feeling, hope you continue to feel pleased with yourself and good luck with your running :)

  • Well done Stubbyp and go get that Graduation badge, you've earned it :-)

  • Thanks, I've messaged Joel to ask for my badge, I like your logo rather than a photo, how did you get that?

  • Cropped from the C25k T-shirt site in lieu of my graduation badge. I should probably change it though. Just right-click and save to your desktop if you are using a PC.

  • Well

    Done!

  • Well done you! Agreed this weather has made it hard going......but you did it yay !

I wanna be a graduate tooooo....soooooo bad. Just finished week 7 tonight, feeling abit knackered but will keep going, onto week 8.

Good luck with your future runs.x

  • Very well done - not sure I'd have graduated if I hadn't done it in the winter! This heat is not my idea of fun for running - lovely for sitting in the garden though. :)

Enjoy having that big smile for a while! :) :) :)

  • And my graduate badge has arrived, less than an hour after requesting it and at almost 11pm, how late are these guys working!

  • Wooooooohooooooo youuuuu! Isn't it amazing? Well done.
