Very uneventful really , no one shouting at me, even the weather didn't do as it promised so no rain. I did have a bit of a dilemma in terms of what to wear now it getting chilly in the mornings. The grass was wet and I did get slightly wet feet. But the run itself went OK, I know what to expect in the first 5 minutes when I think "I cant keep this up for 25 minutes" but I have learnt to ignore that very quickly and say, usually out loud, " I did it 3 times already so why not today", no wonder I get looked at!!! Had a really busy day at work, well at home working and still not finished a PCC meeting at 7, but on run days I certainly feel I have more energy to get me to the end of the day. Week 8 on Friday never ever, ever, ever, ever thought I would be typing that. I expected to disappear in the forum archives after week 1,

Well done to you ...... Wardrobe....... I have to laugh as when I do my walking in the winter, I buy all the winter clothes and by the first mile I am in a T shirt....... Sometimes a long sleeve one and all my waterproofs and warm clothes in the rucksack! Wet feet...... Difficult that one with running shoes.... But trail running shoes might help with the grip .... But the expert runners might be able to help more there.... Glad you did not give up, love reading your posts.

Well done you!! Week 7 complete 😍I have decided I’m going to run in a T-shirt until it’s minus weather then il wear a long sleeve running top but definitely no jacket!

I get so hot. 🙈

Speak out loud and hearing the words definitely helps keep doing it!

We’ll done Poppdog you’re doing great 👍 I tried running in a long sleeved top the other day and just got sooo hot and ended up tying it around my waist, I have a invested in a running belt tho which is amazing (and sad that I got excited about a running belt tho) keep going 😀

Hey guys, can I ask what a running belt is?

Somewhere to keep phone keys and in my case doggy poo bags. Light weight material fits pretty snug round the waist so it doesn’t move about and some have reflective strips

Il look into that as I currently use an arm strap and my phone is MASSIVE. 😂

I went out in short sleeves the other day and regretted it, my hands were numb! I am now running in a long sleeved wicking top with a short sleeved running top over that. When it gets even colder I will wear a long sleeved thin merino wool base layer with my short sleeved running top over that. Being a rambler I have lots of different tops for different weather and I wear these for jogging. I bought the running tops in TKMAX intended to wear them for summer walking, that was before I started C25k.
