Week 5 complete!

So that was the dreaded Wk5 R3 eh? I slowed right down to my best granny jog (although I sped up just a tad for the last 2 mins as I could tell I had plenty in the tank still) - and did it. The Program knows, and I suspect, as I've read others say, that run 3 isn't about whether your body can do it (it can by now) but whether your mind can get itself around no walk breaks. On to week 6!

It wasn't all that dreaded, was it Run Done, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran,

Exactly!

The body is always prepared for the run- that's the whole point of any progressive exercise program.

The mind however... different story.

Well done!

Many congratulations.

We would much rather that "dreaded" and W5R3 were never put together on this forum, as it can, and has in the past, struck totally unjustifiable terror into the hearts of those who are approaching this run.

A much better description would be wonderful, empowering W5R3

Take care on the next run and stay nice and slow......it catches out more people than any other run in the programme.

Well done. No breaks is a milestone. And yes it is all a mind game now. Your body is ready, the mind takes a while to catch up!
